Following a successful public engagement campaign, Whitehall Homes submitted an application for 34 new homes to Wealden District Council, under planning reference WD/2021/2458/MAJ. The application was carefully reviewed by relevant officers and brought before the planning committee with a full officer recommendation for approval.

Unfortunately, the planning committee refused the proposal. However, Whitehall Homes remains committed to providing much-needed affordable and private housing to the local community. Therefore, an appeal has been submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for independent review. We expect the review to be completed by August 2023, and we are optimistic about a positive outcome.
